Small flies can be incredibly frustrating. You see the adults flying and need to hunt down the source where the larvae are breeding. Since small flies don’t fly very far from the source, that sounds easy. However, consider a commercial kitchen and how many potential habitat sources there may be. There could be drains, loose grout, low areas where water pools, leaking pipes, dishwashing areas, and more. You don’t want to wait until the adults are flying all over the place. You want to catch them early and be able to pinpoint the problem area. By using EZ Conceal, you can.
Use Monitors. Sure, insect light traps (ILTs) work. They often are not near enough to where the breeding sites are to be overly helpful. Plus, there usually aren’t many ILTs in commercial kitchens because there isn’t space or proper areas to mount them. There are smaller ILTs, but those often can’t be used because there are no outlets nearby to plug them in. Using the EZ Conceal glue board traps can help to catch issues when they start up. This makes inspection easier and treatments faster and more effective.
Seek Out the Source. EZ Conceals can be mounted almost anywhere because of the double-sided foam tape on the back. It can go behind refrigerators that may have condensation trays breeding flies. Placing one behind an ice machine and near its drain will help. Think about putting one on the back of the soda machine to monitor the sticky, sweet buildup that can occur there. These are great for bar areas where flies may come from drains but may also be hidden under appliances or around liquor bottles. Consider the dishwashing areas and putting one or more where organic buildup can occur.

Since they can be mounted higher, wet washdowns won’t wash them away, degrade the glue, or prevent insects from getting in. Knowing when they first start to occur means it’s easier to narrow down their harborage and clean and treat that.
